Welcome to Catherine & George's Blog: We're back...

Hi Everyone,

Sorry - I know it's been a really long time since the last post. George's father passed away very suddenly in April so we all flew home for a few weeks. It was such an awful shock and he will be missed by everyone who knew him. We're just lucky that he got over here to meet Jack. And thank you to everyone who sent notes, flowers and prayers. It meant so much to us.

Then when we got back I was swamped with schoolwork, and let me tell you - 4 classes at once was nothing ... but 2 classes with a 4 month old is impossible!! Well, let me start in chronological order.

On the flight home, Jack was an angel. We had to get him a passport up in Seoul, though ... and it really looks like a little mug shot!

So ... back to the plane. We got bulkhead seating which was great, and they put up a little bassinette for Jack so he wasn't in our laps the entire time. The only hitch ... was the poor baby next to us. She screamed for about 6 hours straight - no joke. Jack was just kind of doing his own thing, wondering what this chick was fussing about.

Jack finally met his cousins and aunts and uncles. We all played pass the baby quite often.
When we got back to Korea, Jack's sleep was all kinds of messed up. Here, weeks later we're kind of back on track. And he's slept 6 hours straight for about 3 days this week! Yay! Though we're having some problems getting him to go to sleep in his crib.

In other news, he started rolling over, and tries to sit up on his own. Also, he likes to stand a lot (with a little help, of course). We haven't seen any teeth yet, but we're expecting them soon - he's got all the symptoms. And, for those of you who don't know - we're staying here 1 more year. George was offered a great position and we'll be moving to a bigger place (with a dishwasher!!!) so that'll be nice.
