Sorry ... it's been a while!

We've been quite busy over here - between changings, feedings, more changings and laundry (lots of laundry!) both George and I have had our hands full! The support over here has been wonderful though - friends brought dinner over for us every night for the first week or so which was a huge help while we figured out a vague routine. Jack sleeps pretty well (as does Porter!) and he's eating well too, so we really can't complain. We're totally head-over-heels. He makes all these great little faces (pursing his lips with his eyes shut as he stretches, smirking, smiling, rooting around like a barracuda when he's hungry!). And he makes all kinds of sounds when he sleeps! We wonder if he'll talk in his sleep when he's older. ;)

He was a little jaundiced but doctor said not to worry ... he's pinker every day - and it looks like he'll have George's skin and not my pale sunburn-'n-freckle-prone skin! (1/12/07)

Porter, our little beggar boy, begging for food from Aunt Tanya. He's got the muscle shirt on because we got his hair cut (he was a ragamuffin!) and now he's a little cold. We couldn't convey the concept of "trim" vs. "shave him down" to the Korean groomer. But they did give us a necklace for him with his name and my cell number etched into it. Now he's got "bling". At first he was mad at Mommy because he had all my attention, so he stuck close by dad for the first week or so. He's coming around, though. He still ignores Jack for the most part, and begs for food and attention as necessary. He made mommy a little mad on the 15th when he ate the rest of her lunch as she was feeding and changing Jack! But mommy forgave him after a few hours! (1/14/07)
